Bank Robber Sought

On Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 at approximately 11:50am an unknown suspect entered the Scotia Bank located at 19 Mapleview Drive in the City of Barrie.

The suspect was posing as a delivery person. He was carrying a large beige bankers box with a blue strip along the bottom covered with a lid. The box had the bank mangers name hand written on the outside.

The suspect addressed the manager by his first and last name and advised that he had a parcel in which he needed to see some ID. Manager provided his DL and the suspect advised that this was a robbery.

Suspect pulled a 9mm fully loaded Glock from his right waist band and pointed it at the victim. He was told to fill the box with $150,000 in $50’s and $100’s. He was told that if anything was to go wrong he had his address.

The bankers box was filled by the victim and given to the suspect. The suspect fled northbound on foot behind the bank towards the highway.

WEAPON – Was seen. The gun is believed to be a 9mm Glock. The suspect said that the gun was a Glock and it was fully loaded.
