At approx. 4:30am on the 18 November 2009 a feamle suspect entered a Dunlop St. conveinence store and approached the cashier. The suspect produced a hand written note advising that she was robbing the store and demanded money from the till. The suspect also produced a syringe type needle and stated that she would poke the cashier with the needle if the money was not produced. The cashier handed over a quantity of money and the suspect made off on foot. The cashier suffered no injuries.
The cashier called police and officers from the Uniform Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Division responded. Officers were able to identify the suspect by viewing the store's video surveillance tape. Information regarding the suspects identity was relayed to officers on patrol.
At approx. 11:00am on the 18th November 2009 the suspect was located and arrested. The 21 year old Barrie woman is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing. She is charged with Robbery and Breach of Probation.
