Occurrence Type: Arrest - Breach of Recognizance

Details:
Barrie Police were on general patrol in the area of Dunlop Street and Highway 400 and had occasion to investigate a 44 year old male at that location.
Investigation revealed the male was on a Recognizance with conditions which he was found to be breaching.
He was subsequently arrested for the breach and transported to the station in order to be held pending a bail hearing.

Details:
Barrie Police were advised that a Bench Warrant had been issued for a 27 year old male who had failed to attend court as required.
Justice of the Peace Forfar issued a warrant for the arrest of the accused.
On today's date the male was located and arrested on the strength of the warrant.
He was transported to the station in order to be held pending a bail hearing.
