On the 18th of November 2009 at approximately 11:00pm, a 27 year old Barrie female attended the Walmart Dept. Store on Mapleview Dr. W. At this time she was observed by store security shoplifting a quantity of make and a wallet. She was apprehended and held for police. The female was charged accordingly and released with a court date.

On the 18th of November 2009 at about 4:20pm, the police recieved a report of an assault in progress at a residence on Felt Cr. Further information was received that two male suspects were fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Investigation revealed that the two male suspects had been ransacking the house when the occupants returned home. Upon being confronted by the occupant one of the suspects armed himself with a dagger a struggle ensued and the occupant sustained injuries to his hand. A quantity of property was teken and the suspects made good their escape. Approximately one hour later officers observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the downtown area. The vehicle was investigated and as a result two males were arrested. A full recovery of the stolen property was made at this time including the dagger. Two Barrie males are facing charges of robbery, break and enter and assault with a weapon charges this morning.
