Barrie Police were called to an address on Bradford Street at around 7:00 p.m. regarding a female lying on the street.
Officers attended and located a 42 year old female in an extremely intoxicated state.
Officers determined that the female was intoxicated to the point that she posed a danger to herself, and therefore she was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
She was transported to the station in order to be held until sober, and issued a provincial offences notice under the Liquor Licence Act.

On the 19th of November 2009 the Barrie Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit was investigating persons who were dealing Crack Cocaine from a residence on Dunlop Street in the City of Barrie.
Officers observed numerous persons who were making purchases from the residence.
As a result, a search warrant was obtained and was executed by members of the Tactical Support Unit.
The residence was searched and as a result a quantity of Crack Cocaine, Marihuana, ecstasy, money and scales were seized.
5 persons were arrested at the scene and are believed to be occupants and residents of the house.
They have all been charged with a number of drug related offences and will appear in court in December.
The total street value of the drugs seized is approximately $1000.00.
$1000 in Canadian Currency was also seized.
Police would like to remind the residents of Barrie that if they observe suspicious activities at a house or business that they feel may be drug trafficking to call the Barrie Police Drug Enforcement Unit or Crime Stoppers.

Barrie Police were on general patrol in the downtown area and had occasion to conduct a routine traffic stop.
Officers investigated the driver and found that he was bound by a recognizance with conditions that he was not to be in the downtown area.
He was subsequently arrested for breach of recognizance and transported to the station in order to be held pending a bail hearing.

Barrie Police were contacted by the Ontario Provincial Police in Orillia regarding two parties; a male and a female both in their custody wanted by Barrie Police Service on outstanding warrants.
Both parties were returned to Barrie in order to be processed on the warrants.
The female was subsequently released with a future court date.
The male was held pending a bail hearing.

Barrie Police were in the downtown area on Dunlop Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. and had occasion to investigate a 19 male who was extremely intoxicated.
Investigation revealed that the male was bound by a probation order with conditions not to consume any alcohol.
He was subsequently arrested for breach of probation and transported to the station in order to be held until sober.
He was later released with a future court date.
