The Barrie Police Service is committed to following the intent of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) to improve opportunities and service for people with disabilities.
To this end, members of the Barrie Police Service understand the importance of responsive public services that enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and will continue to develop strategies and programs that facilitate access to policing services.
Emergency calls to police can be made from a TTY by calling 9-1-1 and pressing space bar to receive a response. For non-emergency calls, call our TTY line at 705-729-9712 which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Accommodation requests for interpreter service can be made to any police officer. Every effort shall be made to facilitate the request.
